Jimmy FallonÂ unveiled a new game on Thursdayâ€™s "Tonight Show" called 'Face Balls," and the first contestant was none other than his guestÂ Julia Roberts.
As the talk show host explained, â€œThe rules are simple, you throw a ball in you opponentâ€™s faceâ€¦ as hard as you can.â€
Roberts and Fallon then took turns hurling soft, plastic balls of varying sizes â€” from a close distance â€” at each otherâ€™s faces.
The Oscar winner nailed the â€œTonight Showâ€ host so intensely, he jokingly griped, â€œYou donâ€™t have to throw it that hard.â€
Roberts, noting â€œIâ€™m better handling big balls,â€Â got nailed pretty good too with a couple of balls to her face.
Fallon kept apologizing to his guest. â€œYouâ€™re â€˜Americaâ€™s Sweetheart.â€™ I love you. I love having you on the showâ€¦ please come back. Iâ€™m sorry!â€
Mostly, though, the whole fun of the game was watching the impact of their facesÂ in super-slow motion replay.
